SAPNewsTL, Dili – The Government of Timor-Leste working together with the Catholic Church through the organizing committee, preparation for the visit of Pope Francis, has officially launched an online registration portal accreditation for national and international journalists to access coverage of the visit, His Holiness Pope Francis in Sept. 9-11.
Secretary of State for Social Communications (SSSC), Expedito Loro Dias said, the accreditation process is the media team visit Pope Francis, in Timor-Leste will verify according to data, after submitting documents to the relevant parties to validate according to the process on.
“The accreditation process is based on criteria that they can verify, from the media team to the pope’s visit, the secretariat will then launch this accreditation process to make detailed verification of the data and documents that journalists submit to SECOMS, will then verify including the authenticity of the information that is clear, correct and validate the documents according to the criteria. The governor justifies, to ensure quality coverage, professionalism in journalistic products and provide access to credible information to the population in the country and abroad, so the secretariat opened registration, and verification, before giving accreditation to journalists to can be accessed at coverage sites in Tasi-Tolu, Presidential Palace Aitarak-Laran, Cathedral, Motael, Dili Convention Center (DCC).
Espedito Dias Ximenes said, the criteria for national and international journalists to obtain accreditation letters need to fill out forms issued by the professional portfolio, the Press Council (KI) institutional identity card and can be accessed through the website, and online portals.
In the same place, Dom Virgilio Cardial do Carmo da Silva justifies, journalists’ important role to cover during the visit of the Holy Father in Dili, therefore accreditation to national and international media is very important related to the issue technician conducts field coverage according to criteria.

On this occasion, also launched a special talk show about the visit of Pope Francis, the talk show will be broadcast by the State Media Radio Television Timor-Leste, the program will start in August.
Meanwhile, the launch ceremony of the online registration portal accreditation for national and international journalists was officially launched directly by the Secretary of State for Social Communications (SSSC), Expeditu Loro Dias, High Level General Coordinator in Exercise, Minister of State Administration (MAE) Tomas Cabral, Dom Virgilio Cardeal do Carmo da Silva SDB.
