HWPL Celebrates a Decade of Global Commitment to Peace

SAPNewsTL, South Korea : Culture of Heaven, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) celebrates the 10th anniversary of the World Peace Summit in South Korea. HWPL CEO Chairman Lee said peace and love is a save that can make the world one.

Held in South Korea under the theme ‘Creating a World Peace Community Through Regional Collaboration’, the event commemorated global leaders and citizens’ commitment to peace that has lasted for a decade and oversee future strategies to promote global harmony.

Chief Executive Officer HWPL, Chairman Lee said the purpose of the anniversary was to review achievements since 2014 and discuss future plans.

“Several sessions are being held in each country (122 countries in the world) at different levels to bring together regional talent and establish networks that are essential for an adaptable peace strategy, strengthen regional networks to meet local threats and harnessing collective capacities”. HWPL CEO Chairman Lee emphasized that religious division causes heavy loss of life hence the need for dialogue to create peace in the world for the future.

HWPL formed a partnership with the Group of 7+(G7+) intergovernmental organization and the high-level political forum organization the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino) to develop peace initiatives.

The G7+ was established to bring together countries affected by conflict through a vision of peace, stability, and development with more than 20 member states.

Parlatino was established to promote development and integration throughout the democratic framework with twenty-three (23) Member States.

Chairman Lee informed, previously signed a peace project in Timor-Leste presented by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Culture, Dr. Jose Honorio da Costa Pereira Jeronimo.

“The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture together with eight higher education institutions partnered with HWPL to introduce peace education in the country”

The Chairman added, “I believe that peace education will play a crucial role, not just as a simple subject, but in helping students become global citizens in the future and in laying the foundation for peace and stability throughout society.“ he expressed.

Heaven Culture, World Peace, Light Restoration (HWPL) is an international NGO affiliated with UN ECOSOC.This year, Heaven Culture, World Peace, Light Restoration (HWPL) celebrates its X (10⁰) anniversary.

Today Through 10 years of international peace cooperation, HWPL has registered 500,000 members in 170 countries and is implementing peace projects through MOUs with 1,014 organizations in 105 countries.

Meanwhile, the international organization has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 5 social communication bodies in Timor-Leste such as Média Hatutan, LABEH, SAPNewsTL, Radio Liberdade, and Radio Community Comoros.
