Australian PM Arrives at Airport, TL Received With Joy & Enthusiasm

SAPNewsTL, Dili : Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese arrived at Presidente Nicolau Lobato Airport and was received directly by President of the Republic Jose Ramos-Horta and Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão.

Today, the people of Timor-Leste received an official and very crucial visit from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, after the country restored its independence after 24 years.

The main objective of the official visit will be to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between Timor-Leste and Australia.

During the visit, the Australian Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste Jose Ramos Horta at the Presidential Palace Nicolau Lobato Aitarak-Laran and a cooperation meeting with Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão at the Government Palace.

Next, the Prime Minister of Australia will visit the National Parliament House and deliver an official speech, President of the National Parliament Maria Fernanda Lay will deliver an official speech including parliamentary benches will deliver speeches during the solemn ceremony.

President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta will award the Order of the Grand Collar of Timor-Leste to the Prime Minister of Australia, in the China Hall.
