Peace Building, HWPL Signs MoU With Media Hatutan, RL, RCC, LABEH and SAPNewsTL

Delegatoin International Organization Heavenly Culture, World Peace and Restoration of Light (HWPL) signed a memorandum of understanding with media Hatutan, Radio Liberdade, Radio Community Comoro, LABEH and SAPNewsTL in Dili, 12/07/2024

SAPNews TL, Dìli – International Organization Heavenly Culture, World Peace and Restoration of Light (HWPL) working together with the Press Council selected five national media such as Hatutan, Radio Liberdade, Radio Community Comoro, LABEH and SAPNewsTL signed a memorandum of understanding to promote peace through coverage communication body in Timor-Leste.

HWPL is a non-governmental organization registered with the Seoul Metropolitan Government of the Republic of Korea. He is associated with the UN Department of Global Communications (DGC) and has Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). where in the spirit of the World Peace Declaration, HWPL aims to achieve world peace through heavenly culture and restore the global community with light, through peace activities throughout the world.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) is an international peace NGO that aims to build global peace and end war in the world by working with its partner group, the International Women’s Peace Group (IWPG), and the group affiliate, International Peace Youth Group (IPYG).

HWPL is leading an international peace movement with leaders in all fields unconstrained by national, cultural, or ideological boundaries. In addition, HWPL seeks to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by spreading a culture of peace and various means such as forums, education, volunteer work, and campaigns.

After HWPL together with the Press Council of Timor-Leste signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Press Council Hall Kintal-Boot Dili, President of the Press Council Otelio Ote said HWPL communicated with many media but five media managed to communicate to agree and sign the MoU, this is a luck, so ask journalists to comply with the code of journalistic ethics and ensure the quality of journalism in Timor-Leste.

“Declare to the media especially the five (5) media that have agreed to sign this memorandum of understanding that they are lucky, HWPL communicates with many media still contacts, we have five (5) media only managed communicate and succeed, today we realize the signing between the media and HWPL”. The leadership of the Social Communications Regulatory Body said, journalists need to respect the code of journalistic conduct, increase the quality of journalists, and raise intellectual capacity, so as to contribute positively to the development of the country successfully.

“Journalists must comply with the journalistic code of ethics, ensure the quality of journalism and raise professional and intellectual capacity, you must know how to move quickly, we must participate to help your media, because this year many trainings that we has cooperated.” he informed

In the same place, the Secretariat of State for Social Communications (SEKOMS), Espedito Dias Ximenes gave appreciation to the press council because it can work together with HWPL, so that five media can sign an agreement, an agreement that guides the media to preach about peace, because there is no peace, no development, no development is no peace, so hopefully the media can pay attention to peace at home and abroad.

“I would like to thank the President of the Press Council (KI) and his advisors for making efforts with HWPL to work together, which is very important. Today five (5) media outlets signed this with HWPL, we everyone hopes that with this agreement the media will pay more attention to peace, because there is no peace, there is no development, so peace and development must go together. The governor added, journalists assume an important role to promote peace and stability, so the ninth government would like to thank HWPL for supporting the media during this time, so asked to continue to communicate with media that have not signed the agreement, so in the future they can sign as now.
