Telkomcel Collaborates with MCI to Empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises

SAPNewsTL, Dili, — Telkomcel, Timor-Leste’s leading telecommunications provider, has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Timor-Leste (MCI-TL) to launch a nationwide initiative aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through digital transformation and capacity building.

This strategic collaboration was announced today in Dili, marking a significant milestone in Timor-Leste’s journey toward inclusive economic development.

This initiative directly supports Timor-Leste’s broader economic vision and its preparations for ASEAN membership. By strengthening MSMEs, the backbone of the national economy through growth digital transformation and innovation, the program aligns with ASEAN’s standards for competitiveness, integration, and sustainable growth.

Through this collaboration, Telkomcel and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will jointly platforms implement programs that provide MSMEs with access to affordable digital solutions, training in digital literacy and entrepreneurship, and opportunities to showcase their innovations at national
and regional platforms.

Telkomcel will also leverage its MyTelkomcel Super App to promote and campaign for MSME development. The app will serve as a digital hub for entrepreneurs offering access to business tools, promotional features, educational content, and direct engagement with customers. This platform will play a key role in amplifying MSME visibility and driving adoption of digital services across the country.
